As a multi-sport athlete through high school and college, fitness has always been a huge part of me. I graduated college with a BA in Biology with a focus on athletic training and nutrition, but it took me a long time to figure out where to go from there.
I often joke that I have too many fitness hobbies between running, playing soccer, snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking, golf, hiking, etc. You get the idea. Sharing my passion has always been a priority for me. I've led troubled teens on white water kayak, rock climbing, and backpacking trips. I've coached high school varsity boys and girls track and field, organized an adult pick up soccer league, taught PE in the local schools, and coached toddler soccer clinics.
Then came my two beautiful children. Being a mom has been my biggest and best adventure yet and I wouldn't trade it for the world. But for a few years, I felt like I'd lost a big part of myself. My fitness. That's when I found CrossFit.
I started with boot camp classes and loved it so much that I began doing regular classes and haven't looked back. The workouts are fun, challenging, and effective. The coaches and members are supportive and motivating and have become a big part of my life. They push me every day to become better and stronger, both mentally and physically.
A few years ago I would have laughed if you told me I'd be doing pull-ups, completing adventure races, running up mountains, and squatting heavy weights. This community helped me get there and taught me how to believe in myself, to never settle, and to keep on reaching. This community is why I coach.
It is my goal to inspire our members to be amazing, to give it their all, to have fun, to dig deep, and find out how much they are capable of.
